Despite entering the Olympic Amateur Boxing scene late, during the 1960 Summer Olympic Games, Cuba's rise to global prominence and recognition within the sport of boxing truly began at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany.
The national team achieved a total of 5 medals ~ 3 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, to claim the top spot on the leaderboard for podium finishes in the various Boxing weight classes.
We celebrate Cuba's dominance in Olympic and Amateur World Boxing with our selection of handcrafted, robust premium grade leather gloves. Our three Professional Pre-Fight Sparring gloves have been named after Orlando Martinez, Emilio Correa and Teofilo Stevenson; the three legendary Cuban boxers that took gold in 1972 and introduced the world to Elite Cuban Boxing.
